The European Burns Association Congress (EBA) is taking place in Berlin, Germany, providing an exchange of knowledge and experiences in burn care. Multiple different topics are going to be discussed, like allotransplantation in the management of burns, the different types of burn center organizations in Europe, and the transmission of knowledge through virtual technology. The theme for this year’s congress will be “Life beyond survival”, rethinking current practices with a unique look at ethics, reconstruction, management of burns, and social reintegration of burn patients.
The European Burns Association (EBA) is a non-profit organization that studies burns and burn prevention in order to try and find the best ways to prevent and heal burns in the best way possible. They are a group that also tries to encourage inter European collaboration in burns. Additionally, they have a peer-reviewed journal that details their recent studies and new techniques and products in the field of burns.
