Twice a year, Kerecis holds competitions, The Northern Lights Wound Workshop and The Arctic Midnight Sun Surgical Workshop, to promote global scientific dialogue and exchange. Cases are collected from medical practices, academic institutions, and hospital facilities around the world, showcasing the use of Kerecis products in various surgical procedures and wound types. Physicians present novel cases in which fish skin grafts are applied for their intended uses. The scientific workshops are competition-based. The top-scoring cases will receive an Aurora Award, and the winning providers will be invited to the Aurora Workshop in Reykjavik to accept the award on behalf of their facility. The exchange of ideas is fostered between all attendees during this exclusive small-capacity event, where attendees present their findings.

The top piece is created from recycled fishing nets and rope collected on shores, helping to clean up our oceans and protect marine life. With a look almost identical to marble, the base is crafted from recycled single-use packaging, upcycling waste into something beautiful and meaningful.
