Since 2014, Kerecis® has worked with the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to advance the state of combat wound care and improve treatment for America’s service members and veterans.
Kerecis is currently conducting a clinical trial on third degree burns in collaboration with the MedStar Washington Hospital. The study is funded by the US Army’s Military Burn Research Program (MBRP).
The MedStar trial is an important step towards a FDA approval for treating third degree burns with the Kerecis Omega3 rich fish skin.
